Charlotte Leslie
Charlotte Ann Leslie (born 11 August 1978 in Liverpool) is a British Conservative Party politician. She has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bristol North West constituency since her election on 6 May 2010.
In 2013, she was named "Backbencher of the Year" by ''The Spectator'' magazine, in recognition of her work on accountability and patient safety in the NHS.
==Early life==
Born in Liverpool in 1978, Leslie's family moved to Bristol aged two. Her father worked as an orthopaedic surgeon at Southmead Hospital in Bristol and the Bristol Royal Infirmary, as well as being a vicar.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Ian Hislop quits Index on Censorship in protest over Steve Coogan — Daily Mail Online )〕 Her mother is a British triathlon champion for her age group, and in 2013, finished 9th in the World Triathlon Grand Final. Leslie attended Badminton School and Millfield, before studying Classics at Balliol College, Oxford. She graduated in 2001. She used to swim competitively, representing City of Bristol, and made the age-group national finals in 200m and 100m backstroke.〔
